Jodo Kast was an Alliance SpecOps member who deserted to become a bounty hunter. He wore a suit of armor similar to Boba Fett, and sometimes even impersonated the famous bounty hunter.

This is a visual guide used for 501st costume approval, not a how-to for construction. Construction details are found at the costume's Detachment website. Measurements provided here are are generalized, and not criteria for approval. All 501st costumes are proportionate to the wearer in terms of size, fit, and scale. During evaluation, both text and images (CRL and Reference) must be considered. When in doubt about a feature of a submitted costume, GMLs should post questions in the Legion forum's DL/GML peer review section.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below. For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met. This Detachment defines additional, optional costuming details listed in blue and red. Please visit the Detachment website for more details on these options.

• Helmet has a dark colored, full one piece "T" visor.
• A rangefinder and stalk is present on the right side of the helmet.
• There are 6 buttons in the rear center of helmet.
• The mandibles, head band, and button area are a yellowish/orange color with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage.
• The upper cheeks are a dark green/blue color almost black looking with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage.
• The ear pieces and rangefinder stalk are silver metal/metallic in appearance.
• The rangefinder topper is black with a translucent lower piece, second round translucent lens on the top, and the appearance of 2 red �lights� on the top.
• The dome and lower cheeks are a dark olive green in color with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage.
• The right cheek has a "Borden connector" (or replica) detail piece installed.
• The dome does not feature a dent.
• The helmet back is dark olive green in color with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage.
• The helmet is weathered and should match the visual references as closely as possible, both in colors and weathering patterns.
• The helmet has 10-12 reddish-burgundy "Kill Stripes" on left side of the helmet.

• A quilted neck seal medium/dark grey in color, made of the same fabric as the vest, and weathered.
• Can be made using the same material as the flight suit or tackle twill.
• Neck Seal covers the entire neck.
• Horizontal ribs run along the seal.
• The neck seal closes in the front with hidden fasteners.

• Vest is medium/dark grey in color, made of the same fabric as the neck seal, and weathered.
• Can be made using the same material as the flight suit or tackle twill.
• Vest closes down the back.
• Vest has short quilted shoulder tabs to mount the shoulder armor.
• The quilted stitching will run from the end of the tab up to the shoulder.
• Two slits are cut into the back of the vest in order for the jetpack harness straps to feed through.
• Vest allows for the attachment of chest, back, belly, shoulder and collar armor.
• Vest is short enough to stop before hitting the girth belt. It is no longer than necessary to mount the armor. (Approximately 1/2" past the armor)
• The vest is weathered according to references.

• Consists of collar armor, left and right breast plates, a center diamond, and an abdominal plate.
• Armor dark olive green in color with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage. Weathering must reasonably match visual reference.
• Left breast plate has two cut out horizontal slots, the lower one to be wider and positioned as shown in visual references.
• Left breast plate slots are backed by a translucent screen.
• The right breast plate has a decal in the upper right. The decal matches visual reference in color and weathering. The decal can be red or blue based on visual references.
• Center diamond plate between breast plates has an indented vertical rectangle as shown in visual references.
• Armor attaches securely to the front of the vest.
• The collar armor connects to the back plate via 4 square silver metal/metallic studs.
• The studs may be functional connectors or decorative. If the studs are not the functional connection between collar and back plate, no other attachment method may be visible.

• Armor is dark olive green in color with weathering that appears to expose a silver base color for the damage. Weathering reasonably matches visual reference.
• Two rectangular slots are present over the shoulder blades to allow for the jetpack straps to feed through.
• A curved cutout is at the bottom to allow for jetpack harness/straps.
• Connects to collar armor via 4 square silver metal/metallic studs.
• The studs may be functional connectors or decorative. If the studs are not the functional connection between collar and back plate, no other attachment method may be visible.

• The colors for the jetpack are: medium blue/purple, silver, white, black, yellowish/orange, and red.
• Jetpack has the following main components: one center tank and two side fuel tanks, "piano keys" stretching horizontally at the top of the main body on each side of the center raised strip, one center missile, two side mounted thrusters / nozzles, one beacon light and one stabilizer.
• Jetpack attaches snugly against the back plate via two white shoulder straps approximately 1.5 inches wide which exit the back plate armor through two slots located near the shoulder blades.
• All patterns, colors and weathering match visual references as closely as possible.
• Lettering symbols and pin striping (either hand painted or decals) match visual references as closely as possible.

• Dark brown with a vertical orange/brown stripe matching visual reference hung from the outer stud on the left shoulder.
• Cape is approximately 30" wide by 36" long.
• Cape is tattered and weathered.
• Cape is made from a canvas/linen material.

• Shoulders are yellowish/orange in color and weathered to expose a base silver color where indicated in visual references to give the illusion of battle wear and damage.
• Shoulder armor is shaped to include six points and curve around the upper arm.
• Armor attach securely to shoulders of the vest.
• The left shoulder has a black �Mythosaur� skull symbol framed with a black outline in a rectangle with beveled edges on a dark orange background and matches visual references.

• Gauntlet is yellowish/orange in color and is weathered to expose a base silver color as shown in visual reference.
• A Casio MQ-1 Calculator keypad (or cast replica) appears at the wrist.
• A vintage dental expander (or cast replica) is mounted near the keypad.
• 3 rockets are mounted on top of the arm. There are 2 smaller rockets that sit on each side of the larger center rocket. The rockets must match visual references.
• A flame thrower housing is mounted on the outside of the arm to match visual references.
• The flamethrower has 2 nozzles exposed at the wrist end.
• 2 momentary switches are mounted to the top of the housing.
• There is a hose connector on the left upper corner on the rear to the gauntlet. There is a hose that goes from there to a connector on the left sleeve and continues to a connector on the girth belt.
• The lower shell of the gauntlet is rounded, with rectangular indents to match visual reference.
• Attachment method is to be hidden.

• Gauntlet is yellowish/orange in color and is weathered to expose a base silver color as shown in visual reference.
• Four small silver darts are mounted at the top of the gauntlet.
• There is a housing covering the 4 darts on the top & sides with only the tips sticking out to match visual references.
• 2 cylindrical dart launchers are mounted on top of the arm & positioned on the inside & outside of the arm. These launchers must match visual references.
• A whip cord housing is mounted to the outside of the arm to match visual reference.
• The first hose connector comes out of the back of this housing.
• The second hose connector comes out of a rod mounted immediately under the housing.
• The third hose connector is attached to the top of the gauntlet.
• The hoses run up under the short sleeve of the flight suit.
• The lower shell of the gauntlet is rounded, with rectangular indents to match visual reference.
• Attachment method is to be hidden.

• Dark grey gloves with light grey quilted patches on the fingers and back of hands which match visual reference. The left pad is shorter than the right, and that there are 3 approximately equal spaced quilts stitched into each. Must match visual references.

• The flight suit is a medium/dark grey and should be snugly fitted to the wearer.
• The suit has long sleeves, with short sleeves on top of them.
• The suit must be weathered.

• A medium grey leather or leather like belt that secures in the rear that is approximately 2.5 inches wide.
• Accessory belt has 6 decorative grommets on the back.
• There is an accessory panel on the left side that is attached to the belt that is grey in color. This is a flat panel with a cylindrical object on the lower portion and a small box on the upper portion. The box has small details on the inside. Must match visual references.
• There is an accessory panel on the right side that is attached to the belt. This is a flat panel with a rectangle box with a grate with 3 vertical slots in it and a round �donut� shaped piece with a center & 2 vertical pieces on the top. This is brown in color with the grate being grey/silver.
• There are 3 grenades hanging from the right side of the belt. They are grey in color with black accents, must be weathered, and must match visual references.
• A holster is present for a side arm that hangs from the right side of the belt. Must match visual references.
• Two hoses go from both the left & right accessory panels to a junction mounted in the center of the girth belt. From that junction there is a hose that goes to the left rear corner of the upper portion of the left gauntlet. This hose has 2 couplers one above the left accessory panel & the other closer to the gauntlet near the short sleeve of the flight suit.
• The belt & all the pieces should be weathered and match visual references.

• The girth belt is a dark brown multi-strand rope belt wrapping around the
• front of the body.
• The belt has 8 grey leather or leather like ammo pouches on the front & are attached to the top of the belt. The pouches are grouped with 4 on left and 4 on right with a space between the groups of 4 in the middle. Must match visual references.
• In the back there is a gap of 6-8 inches.
• The girth belt has 4 silver buckles on the rear, connected via black
• straps.

• There is a holster for a side arm that hangs from the right side of the accessory belt. Must match visual references.
• The holster has the appearance of a �Nemrod� spear gun holster (or replica) and must match visual references.
• The holster is brown in color, weathered, and must match visual references.
• There are 3 rocket grenades that are attached to the holster on the side. Each rocket grenade is mounted horizontally facing forward on the outside of the holster. These must be weathered and match visual references.
• The grenades are grey, purple, & burgundy. Must match visual references.

• The codpiece is a dark olive green in color with weathering that displays and exposes a silver base color for the damage.
• The codpiece wraps around the front of the body, connecting to the kidney plate on the sides via 2 square metal/metal-like studs.
• The studs may be functional connectors or decorative. If the studs are not the functional connection between cod and kidney, no other attachment method may be visible.
• A dirty white strap runs from the bottom of the cod piece, up the back to the kidney plate. Straps are approximately 1 inch wide. Must match visual references.

• The kidney plate is a dark olive green in color with weathering that displays and exposes a silver base color for the damage.
• The kidney plate wraps around the back of the body, connecting to the codpiece on the sides via 2 square metal/metal-like studs.
• The studs may be functional connectors or decorative. If the studs are not the functional connection between cod and kidney, no other attachment method may be visible.

• Knees are yellowish/orange in color and weathered where indicated in visual references to give the illusion of battle wear and damage.
• Armor attaches via either one or two dirty white elastic straps around the back of each knee. Straps are approximately 1 inch wide. Options based on the visual reference that is used.
• The left & right knee each have 4 cylindrical dart launchers on the inside & outside. These launchers must match visual references.

• The top of the boot is covered by a fabric spat of similar color to the flight suit and must be weathered. Must match visual references.

• Grey canvas/fabric boots with black piping running in 4 lines from toe to ankle that frame 2 black areas split by a grey strip going up the front of the boot that matches the rest of the boot.
• Black elastic sides
• White, flat soles.
• Boots can either be worn with or without toe spikes.
• If the toe spikes are worn there will be 2 spikes attached at the toe via a toe plate. Spikes and plates are metal, or should appear to be metal.
• Boots must be heavily weathered as shown in reference images.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

• Made from a Webley MK VI Flare gun (or replica)
• Should be made to be carried left handed.
• Barrel modified with T track installed to match visual reference.
• ASI or similar 4x20 scope mounted to the top rotated to the left.
• Accurate detail pieces installed on the sides of gun and stock that match visual reference.

• Made from Pulce 40 spear gun (or replica) or made to resemble the item in shape or color.
• Color is brown with weathering.
