Sandtrooper Weathering

TD_sandtrooper_weathering

The dirty look of a sandtrooper can be accomplished by a number of painting techniques.

The most common & accurate being a multi-layer treatment of either tempera, or matte acrylic paint, followed by one or more layers of fuller’s earth.
Spray paint & sanding (usually multi-layered)
Application of sand or actual dirt in place of “Fuller’s earth” and other types of dust, charcoal, etc.

For MEPD S.W.A.T status, the weathering must be appropriate to screen used armor. Too little or too much weathering will not be allowed.
