Context: The Clone Wars: Season 3 (Episode 12)

The Nightsisters, under a cloak of invisibility, infiltrate Dooku's palace on Serenno in their attempt at assassination. Though they fail to dispatch the Count, their attack reveals Count Dooku's stylish sleepwear. Dooku sports the finest silk easy-fit trousers and a matching side-opening silk blouson in dark gray-blue with a midnight blue collar and sash. The front pocket is monogrammed and the sleeves are accented by finely embroidered patterning along the sides. The ensemble is finished off with hand-stitched kid leather charcoal moccasins.

This is a visual guide used for 501st costume approval, not a how-to for construction. Construction details are found at the costume's Detachment website. Measurements provided here are are generalized, and not criteria for approval. All 501st costumes are proportionate to the wearer in terms of size, fit, and scale. During evaluation, both text and images (CRL and Reference) must be considered. When in doubt about a feature of a submitted costume, GMLs should post questions in the Legion forum's DL/GML peer review section.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below. For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

• Hair is combed straight back from a slight widow's peak at the front.
• Hair is not parted.
• At the sides, the hair curves around until it is parallel with the sideburns.
• In the back, the hair is off of the neck.
• Hair is colored or dyed white.
• Real or high quality costuming facial hair.
• The mustache covers the area between the nose and lips, then tapers off past the edge of the lips and joins into the beard.
• A full beard tapers slightly as it travels up the sides of the face, until it meets the sideburns.
• Facial hair is colored or dyed white.
• Optional: Longer beard extends to a point at the chin.

• Dark Grey-Blue fine silk or silk-like material in a wrap around style.
• The material is not shiny, but dull in appearance.
• Lining is dark midnight blue which extends to become the collar.
• A snap or other attachment method is used at the meeting point of the collar.

• The shoulders and sleeves have an accurate detailed pattern.
• Pattern is reproduced from the CW reference.
• Pattern consists of:
• One pair of emblems on the shoulder.
• Six pairs along the sleeve.
• Two emblems traveling in each direction on the cuff.

• Left chest pocket has a accurate monogram.
• The monogram is reproduced from the CW reference.
• Pocket comes to a point in the middle of the bottom.

• The sash is approximately 3-4 inches in width and made of the same dark blue colored material as the collar/ lining.
• Sash wraps around the waist and ties on the wearer’s right hip.
• Sash is long enough to wrap around, tie together, and hang to approximately mid thigh.

• The pants are made of the same dark grey-blue material as the shirt/ tunic.
• Pants are lined with the same dark blue material of the collar/ sash.
• The pants are undecorated with a crease down the front of the legs.
• The pants are hemmed at the ankle.

• Slippers are made of a charcoal grey leather or leather-like material.
• The soles are black and have no discernible heel.
• The seam lines match that of the CGI model shown in the series.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

• A scratch built or high-end prop replica of what is seen in the series.
• Lightsaber is 1:1 scale in size and appears to be made of of metal or chrome stock.

• A Covertec clip is present to secure the lightsaber.
• It is attached to the belt on the left hip.
