Canto Bight’s uniformed police keep the peace in the resort city, and are trained to avoid messy public disruptions and unnecessary violence. Behind the facade of keeping the peace, the Canto Bight Police Department is heavy-handed with 'discipline', rife with corruption, and under-the-table deals with high-rollers and criminals alike.

This is a visual guide used for 501st costume approval, not a how-to for construction. Construction details are found at the costume's Detachment website. Measurements provided here are are generalized, and not criteria for approval. All 501st costumes are proportionate to the wearer in terms of size, fit, and scale. During evaluation, both text and images (CRL and Reference) must be considered. When in doubt about a feature of a submitted costume, GMLs should post questions in the Legion forum's DL/GML peer review section.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below. For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met. This Detachment defines additional, optional costuming details listed in blue and red. Please visit the Detachment website for more details on these options.

• The helmet has dimension giving the feeling of thickness and depth.
• The entire helmet has a gloss finish.
• The helmet has a ‘samurai’ style, featuring a dome and four (4) segments, along with a front cover.
• The segments are black in color, and each have rounded edges.
• There is a white band connecting the dome to the segments.
• The dome is black in color, with a wide white strip that extends from the back of the helmet to the front.
• The cover for the helmet is white and has << CBPD >> in aurebesh written across the front (in bright white).
• The helmet is secured via a black chinstrap.
• The chinstrap cup is white.
• There are two (2) white communications units over each ear. These feature horizontal stripes and small round black button.

• The jacket is made from a medium weight suiting material, light grey in color.
• The jacket is fitted to the costumer and all fastenings are hidden.
• The jacket extends to the tops of the costumer’s thighs and has a seam at the costumers’ waist.
• There is an opening in the jacket front from the center seam-line to the bottom.
• Around the chest of the jacket, there is a horizontal seam, that extends from the center to the middle of the costumers’ chest and then diagonally to the shoulders. This diagonal seam ends away from the seam of the sleeves.
• The standing collar is made from the same material as the jacket and features a black backing.
• Metal, or metal like rank insignia is worn, one (1) on each side of the collar.
• The sleeves are long and feature a black vertical stripe on the outside of each arm, that extends to a wide cuff of the same material.
• There is a large commlink greeblie fixed to the outside of each arm, approximately half way up the costumers’ wrist.
• The greeblie fits within the black stripe and cuff.

• The Commlink is tear-drop in shape, is silver with mild weathering on the surface.
• It is approximately one (1) inch thick.
• It features a square button, a small dome-like ridge in the center above a recessed groove.
• Under the recessed grove there is a checkered grid of recessed holes.
• There is another dome-like ridge at the end of the Commlink.

• Armour has dimension giving the feeling of thickness and depth.
• Armour is white and constructed from four (4) components:
• Component one (1): The chest trapezoid.
• Component two (2) and three (3): The shoulders are rectangular.
• Component four (4): The back plate is rounded.
• The seams of the armour should be minimal.

• Gloves are white, and may be made from cotton, soft leather, or leather-like material.
• The gloves have three stripes on the back of the hand.
• Gloves may extend into a gauntlet.

• The pants are made from a medium weight suiting material.
• The pants are loose on the costumer.
• Pants are straight cut and have no visible pockets or belt loops.
• The pants have a black vertical stripe on the outside of each leg.

• A wide white leather, or leather-like belt is worn.
• The belt features a buckle at the front with a hinge.
• The belt has a number of holsters:
• Stun prod holster, connected at the right front of the belt.
• Data pad holder, worn at the right hip.
• Glow rod holster, worn at the left hip.
• The belt connects to a Relby K25 Holster on the right thigh.
• A communicator with silver details and a small red button is affixed onto the front of the belt:
• The device is smaller than the width of the belt.

• The communicator has silver details and a small red button.
• The device is as tall as the belt.
• Communicator is affixed onto the belt at the front.

• The Electro-shock stun prod is silver and black in color, and is lightly weathered.
• The stun prod is made from metal, or is made to have the appearance of metal.
• The base of the stun prod is small and circular, with six (6) curved ridges.
• The handle also has six (6) thin ridges.
• The stun prod flares and flattens out towards the top, and features a wide black band and two (2) circular shock terminals.
• Extending from the terminals are two ribbed prods, each featuring three (3) silver ribs, and three (3) angular ribs, before two (2) end forks.

• The glow rod is made from metal, or is made to have the appearance of metal, and is lightly weathered.
• The glow rod has six (6) angular ridges at the base.
• Above the base there is a black handle.
• The top half of the glow rod also features six (6) angular ridges, that extend up the shaft of the glow rod, and over the circular end.

• The data pad is black, with a light gloss.
• It features three (3) main greeblies;
• A large grey greeblie, with four (4) red rods, five (5) black squares and black lines.
• A large orange and red panel, with the colors blended together and black designs.
• A thin orange and red panel, also featuring black designs.

• The boots are knee high, and are made from leather, or leather-like material.
• If a zipper is present, it is on the inside of the boot shaft.
• The boots may have a single adjustment snap at the rope, on the outside of the boot shaft.
• The boots have conservative heels.
• The top may be flat, Spanish or soviet style but not cowboy or super hero style.

• The cape is made from a vinyl or leather-like material.
• The cape attaches to the costumer beneath the collar armor and extends to the knee.
• The cape does not extend forward past the costumers’ shoulders.
• The cape should have minimal pleats at the connection point.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

• The Relby K25 Blaster is made from metal, or metal like material and is silver and black in color.
• The blaster is lightly weathered.
• The blaster has a round barrel, with a thin tip.
• The blaster features three (3) red dots, and a black indent.
