Sidon Ithano, nicknamed the Crimson Corsair, was a male Delphidian pirate who lived in the Outer Rim Territories in the decades following the conclusion of the Galactic Civil War. Ithano, who wore a distinctive red Kaleesh mask, led a crew of pirates and gained a reputation as the best pirate in the region.

This is a visual guide used for 501st costume approval, not a how-to for construction. Construction details are found at the costume's Detachment website. Measurements provided here are are generalized, and not criteria for approval. All 501st costumes are proportionate to the wearer in terms of size, fit, and scale. During evaluation, both text and images (CRL and Reference) must be considered. When in doubt about a feature of a submitted costume, GMLs should post questions in the Legion forum's DL/GML peer review section.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below. For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

• The helmet is proportional to the wearer.
• The helmet does not extend past the wearers chin.
• A balaclava is utilized to cover all bare facial regions.
• The helmet is Blood red in color.
• Rounded at the top with a small center bump at the top that cascades down the center of the helmet.
• The helmet is pointed at the sides and arches slightly upwards at the tips.
• The ridges underside is colored in a matte or satin black tone.
• Two small eyes are located at the costumers eye level and are adorned with cuts above the eyes that are colored black.
• Two small vertical lines are located at the corners of the eyes and are pencil thin.
• The thin lines are inset with leather or leatherlike material.
• The helmet tapers slightly at the chin. There are two edges that are flat at the bottom affixed to the muzzle at the right and left side.
• There is a large fin at the back of the helmet that arches around to both sides.

• The gauntlets end just below the elbow.
• The gauntlets are black or dark charcoal in color and made from a rigid material with a worn appearance.
• The ends of the gauntlets have a rounded edge and a secondary cut of trim just inside the border.
• The gauntlet covers the top of the hand and has rivets at the sides where the leather straps attach at the palm.
• At the wrist joint there are two overlapping covers. The lowest joint has rivets at the edges.

• The gloves are made from a leather or leather like material.
• Simple design and void of visable decoration which includes stitching, zippers, buttons and hooks.

• The holster is a weathered dark brown leather or leather like material.
• A simple strap hangs from behind the secondary belt worn around the stomach.
• The holster is open at the bottom where a blaster hangs out the end and is wider at the top.
• Four rivets are located at the bottom right hold the holster closed.

• Tunic is tailored and ends at the lower hips.
• Burgundy in color and made of a natural fiber.
• Tunic is long sleeved.
• There are quilted stitch lines that are one approximately inch apart and are horizontal the length of the tunic.
• The bottom edge of the tunic is trimmed in leather and is roughly 1/2 inch wide.
• The sides of the tunic are split no higher than the waist line.
• There are spread out frayed edges covering the entire tunic. The frays are dispersed and are red in color.
• The Fray is approximately one half inch high by three inches wide.

• The pants are of normal fit.
• The material is of a natural weave with a thick grain on the pants themselves.
• The weave is made with a thick string that is tightly compacted.
• The pants are a dark tone of burgundy.

• Made of a thick weaved material with visible bumps.
• Main portion of cape is gray in color.
• Red and dotted Grey strips detail the cape.
• The cape wraps around the costumers front like a cowl covering the upper portion of the chest and has bulky wrinkles.
• The back of the cape is cut in the shape of two long strips that end at the costumers ankle.
• The burgundy and gray color strips run horizontal on the back of he cape and vertical on the cowl (chest area) of the cape.

• Three belts wrapped around the waist
• The outermost belt is approximately two and a half inches wide with a single three fourths to one inch strip in the center. A single rectangle buckle at the front.
• The secondary belt is approximately two and a half inches wide with a single three fourths to one inch strip in the center. The closure is inconspicuous.
• The Tertiary belt sits below the secondary belt and is approximately two and a half inches wide and has a secondary belt inside that is approximately two inches wide.

• The leg bracers are made from a rigid material and are black or charcoal gray.
• The bracers cover the front of the legs and knees.
• Bracers are rounded at the top.
• Two ankle guards cover the lower parts of the boot and overlap around the ankles.
• The back of the legs are exposed past the boots.
• There are three straps behind the legs.
• The first is at the ankle over the boot.
• The second is roughly three inches above
• The third is on the calf.
• Simple buckles close the straps and are located on the outside of the leg.

• The boots are ankle length black leather or leather like material.
• Stirrups wrap around the front of the boot and are attached by 4 straps at the sides with silver buckles.
• Stirrups are adorned with top stitched quilted panels that are approximately 1/4 inch wide.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

• Large gunmetal grey hunting rifle style blaster.
• The base of the rifle is gunmetal grey.
• A thin leather strap is hooked to the top of the riffle at stock.
• Under the main barrel is a long prod with an arrow head point.
• The end of the stock is shaped like a large bone, the end is colored in a tanish white and colored with bone details.

• Blaster is adorned with a bone colored handle.
• Gun metal grey colored barrel.
